Recent Update:

In this version of my sailing mini-game, users able able to quickly restart by shaking their device. This new feature is important because speed, retrying, and quick recall is a key element of memorization, which is the goal of the game.

Additionally, the leaderboard bug has been resolved in this update. It is now functioning without error.

All graphics used were hand made by me using adobe illustrator, figma, and procreate. Nothing was sourced online.

Overview:

The mini-game for my learn college sailing app is designed to teach users real skills they need for rigging an FJ sail boat, this one specifically focuses on the beginning part of rigging a sail boat. This is a task that is complex and requires many separate small pieces of knowledge. Beginners often struggle with this part of learning to sail, and long & difficult to follow videos are often the only resource.

The goal is to complete small tasks for rigging, in the correct order, in the shortest amount of time, by memory. Gestures used are Tap, multitouch and long hold are used to select certain objects, drag is used to move a component.
